The Creativity House is a family-owned business and ceramics studio that has been around since 2006. We offer creative activities such as pottery painting, glass fusing, and wheel throwing. Both large and small groups come here: bachelorette parties, companies, and families spending a creative time together. Our guests come to socialize, have fun, and at the same time do something creative without any prior knowledge required.

About the position

We are looking for extra staff. We offer an opportunity for you as a student who wants to combine studies in ceramics with work. You will instruct our guests in pottery painting, glass fusing, and wheel throwing, as well as plan the preparation and follow-up work for the guests' visits to our studio. There will also be work with firing and glazing customers' creations. The work can be physically demanding in some aspects and heavy lifting may occur. Cleaning is also part of the job. This position suits someone who enjoys speaking in front of larger groups and is eager to spread joy and provide good service.

Your personal qualities

We are looking for a cheerful, creative person who is social, pedagogical, and has a passion for teaching. It is essential that you are service-oriented and enjoy working closely with guests. You have a good ability to handle different types of people as you will meet many different personalities. You work in a structured manner, are self-driven, and see what needs to be done in the studio. We certainly expect you to have a passion for working with ceramics.

Job requirements

You need to have documented skills in wheel throwing and experience in teaching this. If you do not have this, we ask you to refrain from applying. You should be able to independently manage a wheel throwing group. You should enjoy speaking in front of larger groups of people and be a pleasant host/hostess. You need to speak fluent Swedish and English.

Additional information

This is primarily a needs-based employment. In the long run, it may lead to a permanent position for the right person. Working hours vary and are often scheduled in the evenings and on weekends. Therefore, we are only looking for those who are studying and want to combine studies with part-time work.
